Regardless of
course design, all ASTA trials must be points/time or time only
events.

ASTA trials may
be open to all breeds or limited to Australian Shepherds but cannot
be limited to any other breed. Similarly priority may be given to
Australian Shepherds, but cannot be given to other breeds.

Entries for
trials sponsored by ASTA only must be made on an official ASTA entry
form. Entires for trials co-sponsored by ASTA and other
organizations must be made on forms that
a) list both ASTA and the co-sponsoring organization at the
top of the form;
b) include all information contained in the official forms of
ASTA and the co-sponsoring organization:
c) included releases from liabililty for ASTA and the
co-sponsoring organization.

ASTA expects
sportsmanlike behavior and trial organizers and/or their designees
should make handlers aware that organizers and/or their designees
can remove anyone from the competition they deem to be exhibiting
unsportsmanlike conduct and that such persons are subject to
sanctions as specified in the ASTA Bylaws.

5. |
Cruelty to dogs
will not be tolerated at ASTA events; trial organizers should expel
anyone from the trial grounds who physically abuses his/her dog.

Overworking or
abuse of stock will not be tolerated. Trial organizers and/or
their designees have the right and the obligation to stop all runs
when this occurs.

7. |
Trial
organizers appoint Dispute Committees to deal with cases where
handlers dispute their score. Handlers may only dispute their own
score, not the scores of others. The decisions of Dispute
Committees are final and not subject to appeal by disputants.

Trial
organizers are responsible for collecting and distributing funds and
prize money.

Trial
organizer's decisions are final and not subject to appeal by
handlers.
